ShelterCare’s three primary programs are
- Emergency Services for
homeless families with children
- Mental Health Services
for individuals with severe and persistent mental illness (SPMI)
- Brain Injury Services
for survivors.
EMERGENCY
SERVICES
Programs for families with children who are homeless or at risk of homelessness
- Emergency
Shelter and Support provides support and housing in community
residential settings.
- Transitional
Services provides ongoing staff support after families leave
shelter for housing in the community.
- Homelessness
Prevention keeps families from losing their housing and
becoming homeless by providing small amounts of financial
assistance coupled with one-on-one support and training.

INJURY SERVICES
Residential and support services for survivors of acquired brain
injury
The Uhlhorn Program serves low income individuals who have survived
a brain injury (BI or closed head injury) and are regaining the skills
necessary for independent living.
