Oregon Community Credit Union Volunteers!

On Presidents, while many people had the day off, Oregon Community Credit Union employees were volunteering at various locations throughout our community. Our Family Housing Program was lucky enough to have seven volunteers painting and cleaning the counseling rooms. Thanks for being such a great community partner OCCU!

Counselor Advocate III (Multiple Programs)

Counselor Advocate III (Multiple Programs) – This position will support a variety of ShelterCare programs. 20 hours per week will be assigned to Brethren Housing program to provide assessment, treatment planning, crisis intervention & case management to mental health consumers in supportive housing as well as clinical supervision. An additional 20 hours per week will be spent providing clinical services to programs throughout ShelterCare as services are needed. The focus is on mental health assessments for new clients and annual assessments for continuing clients and development of strength-based individualized service and support plans, consultation and case management for program participants and clinical supervision to Qualified Mental Health Associates. MA/MS in behavioral science & minimum 3 years related experience required. Experience working with people diagnosed with psychiatric disabilities and prior supervisory experience is preferred. Must currently qualify to be credentialed as QMHP. F/T 40 hrs/wk, Monday-Friday, $15.53/hr. + benefits.

Hawthorn Program Renovations

Our Hawthorn Program is undergoing major renovations. Roofs, siding, stairways, balconies, sidewalks, parking, trash enclosures, water heaters, bathroom fixtures, refrigerators, floor coverings and more are being updated to ensure that our clients have a safe and comfortable place to stay.

Counselor/Advocate II (TIP) – Assist homeless individuals with mental illness and possible substance abuse issues to gain access to stable housing. Provide case management utilizing local resources to help individuals meet basic living needs. BA/BS in a Behavioral Science or 3 years related experience. Must currently qualify to be credentialed as QMHA. Familiarity with Lane County, Springfield and Eugene area resources preferred. F/T $12.12/hr. Mon-Fri 8:00-5:00pm.

STREETBALL

We will be showing Streetball on March 15th, 2012 at the Wildish Theater (630 Main St. in Springfield) to raise funds for ShelterCare's Homelessness Prevention Program. The doors will open at 7:00pm for people who want to get tickets, grab a snack, or buy tickets for our fabulous raffle prizes. We have received generous donations from local business such as gift cards from Play It Again Sports, The Duck Store and from the Portland Timbers. Come see a great film, win great prizes, and support a great cause.

Relief Cook (various programs)
